The Magdeburg museum considers its estimated value of 100 million euros to be quite “realistic”.

The museum was founded by Gerard Meulensteen, an enthusiastic Dutch collector and art patron, and his Slovak friend Vincent Polakovic, a Slovak gallerist. It is often called “one of the most romantic museums of modern art in Europe”.
